Jeffrey Smith, CFA – Senior Research Analyst

Mr. Smith has been involved in the investment industry since 1999, focused on small-cap investing. He joined Eagle Boston Investment Management as senior equity analyst in November 2006. Prior to Eagle Boston, he spent one year at Pioneer Investment Management as a senior equity analyst covering financial services stocks. And prior to Pioneer Investment Management, he worked six years at Evergreen Investments mostly in a generalist role with a focus on financial services stocks. From June 2002 he had been a senior equity analyst on the Evergreen Special Values Fund and helped grow assets under management from $750 million to $2.8 billion as of October 2005. Mr. Smith began his career path at Evergreen Investments as an equity analyst in 1999 initially covering the basic materials and industrial groups for Evergreen's small-cap growth group.

From 1995 until 1997 Mr. Smith worked at Fidelity Investments in various financial roles in their cash management group, institutional sales group and trading group. From 1992 until 1995 Mr. Smith began his career as a financial analyst for BayBanks, Inc., a Boston-based bank.

Mr. Smith graduated from Bentley College, where he received a B.S. in finance in 1990 and a B.S. in accounting in 1995. He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society, Inc.
